THE ORGANIZATION

Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare (www.cascadiabhc.org) is a major nonprofit provider of behavioral health services in the state of Oregon. Cascadia is a Recovery- oriented, trauma-informed service provider for persons with serious mental illnesses and addictions. Cascadia seeks to become consumer-involved, consumer-engaged, and consumer-driven. Cascadia furthermore seeks to increase its trauma-sensitive services. THE PROGRAM

Secured Residential Treatment Facilities provide safe, highly structuredand comprehensive community reintegration programming for those individuals that need a gradual transition into alternative community placements. As a transitional program specializing in assisting individuals in moving to lower levels of support and structure, there is a strong emphasis on community reintegration, including a comprehensive rehabilitation program that includes therapy and skills-building groups, dual-diagnosis treatment, a vocational training program and staff-escorted community outings.

THE POSITION

The CNA works as a member of an interdisciplinary team to implement and monitor treatment for residents within the residential facility, while supporting a Trauma Informed Care environment. This position involves participation and implementation of program goals and objectives to promote a strengths-based approach to assisting clients in achieving their individual goals.

REQUIREMENTS

This position requires a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness is preferred. This position requires a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and must be able to pass a Department of Motor Vehicles check.

Compensation:

$13.73/hr. DOE + Shift Differential

Most Benefits are available to all Regular, Full time employees. Benefits are pro-rated for all employees working less than 40 hours per week and more than 20 hours. Some benefits are available to all employees regardless of FTE (403b Retirement Plan, EAP Services, 24 hour Fitness, Supplemental options).
